This weekend our neighbors had our family and the two other familys on our sweet street for lunch. They fixed a feast of barbequed pork, baked beans, two kinds of slaw, deviled eggs, fruit, lemon cake for dessert….it was amazing! The food was fabulous, but even better was the company. We have been blessed with wonderful neighbors and I am still in awe over how we got here!
Many of you know we put our house on the market in Florida and it took two years to sell. During that time we looked at all the internet listings in Haywood county. When we came to visit, we looked at houses and lots. We picked out the modular home we wanted to have built down to the flooring and cabinet styles. We were so prepared to move here and build.
Then, by the time we got an offer on our house, we thought that we would move to Tampa for a job for a year, then come up to NC. One week before we closed, the job in Tampa fell through. So, we had to hurry up find a place to live! Our sweet real estate lady did not handle rentals, but knew of a house that she had listed that the lady was willing to rent.
After all the looking we did, we moved into this house after only seeing internet pictures. Fast forward through this crazy year….and in a couple of weeks we are actually closing on this house and it will be ours!
I thought that I was the one making all the decisions and finding the perfect place to live….but then God did all the work and did it way better than I could have!
The kids have finished their movie and now we are going out to play in what will be our yard!!!

Congrats on buying the house. I hope to be joining the ranks of western NC residents in the next 2 years :) Hope all is well with you. Things here are still up in the air, we are STILL a 1 income family. I know you understand that part!
