We are having a BABY! WOW!

I am participating in the Stream of Consciousness writing Sunday by All Things Fadra…I actually think I may be able to get 5 minutes to dump my brain…

Here goes….WOW! WHAT A WEEK! On Monday we found out that the young woman looking at our profile in a state all the way across the nation has chosen our family for the sweet little one growing inside her. We are so very blessed to finally see a baby at the time of year when we celebrate Jesus’ birthday. We have been wanting, praying, planning, talking, discussing adoption for about 22+ years. Here we come!!! We love our kids. We love the kids at all ages. We love the ones that come into our lives for a few hours, a few days and a few years! We love the ones that we have given birth to. We love the ones we have as nieces and nephews. We love the ones who have adopted us. And now we are blessed to love another little one for the rest of his life.

I am amazed at how much happens when you say, YES. We have talked with the adoption agency, we have set up and SKYPED with the birth mom and birth dad. We have called, emailed, facebooked and tweeted to our friends and family…We have prayed, cried (and yes, I am tying…trying to type without correcting my typing, but I have also been in the habit of editing as aI go for so tlong that it is hard to let that go to just type…

Just like when you are pregnant and you haveto have a million plans for when the baby might come, like who will watch the kisds and who will get you to the hopsital, and who will take care of all the details…that is what hs taken up so much of my time this week. Becuase the hospital is a jillion miles away, I don’t even have aclue as to when BABy actually will decide to arrive, I am still sewing costumes for the church christmas play….

but I do know who is in charge…and I need to just lay it in his hands.

maddiy just came in to tell me goodnight and she is so excited about baby, too!
